Attorney John R. Terpstra is an associate in the firm’s litigation department concentrating in civil litigation, family law, collections, real estate, and employment law.   John also serves clients in probate law and estate planning. 
            Admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Indiana, Mr. Terpstra is a 2007 graduate of DePaul University College of Law and a 2003 graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University/ Bloomington, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in both Entrepreneurship and Marketing.  He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. 
            Born in Hammond and raised in Highland, Mr. Terpstra graduated from Illiana Christian High School.  While in high school, John volunteered time instructing youths at local basketball camps.  Prior to attending law school, John worked at various local business establishments, including Highland Department Store, Terpstra’s Whistle Clean Car Wash, Pit Stop 500, and Terpstra Sanitation. 
            John and his wife, Kara, a teacher of Biology and Chemistry at Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing, Illinois, are the parents of twin boys.
